在獨居長者家庭鏟灰及塗上油漆

3月18至20日，我們協助一位居住大窩口邨的獨居黃先生改善家居，黃先生曾到議員辦事處借輪椅，藉此被議員發現個案並轉介給我們，再由我們提供協助。黃先生的經濟來源主要來自領取綜緩，經濟壓力繁重，缺乏社區關懷及朋輩支援。我們甫一進屋，發現黃先生家居環境衛生欠佳，屋內傳出陣陣惡臭。我們安排裝修師傅進行簡單清潔，鏟灰及塗上油漆。除了希望藉此改善黃先生家居環境外，亦可提高他對家居環境衛生的意識。

From 18 to 20 March, we helped a solitary resident of Tai Wo Hau Estate, Mr Wong, to improve his home. Mr Wong’s case was found out when he borrowed a wheelchair from the District Councillor’s office. DC referred his case to us for assistance.
Mr Wong’s main source of income is CSSA and he is under heavy financial pressure and lacks community care and peer support. As soon as we entered the room, we found that Mr Huang’s home was in poor sanitation and there was a foul smell coming from the room. We arranged the decoration worker to do simple cleaning, dust and paint the wall. Other than to improve Mr Wong’s home environment, we wish to enhance his awareness of home hygiene as well.
